We love hearing stories of faithfulness. A family was given this Kia at a time they needed it when they were home, but now they are back on the mission field and are passing their gift on. In addition, a shock and surprise happened when we went to pick up her vehicle and her Dad generously donated his R1100GS. We are inspired by their response when you are called, their generous hearts, and using their gifts for good. Thank you for living openhanded. We are excited how these will be used for good.

How a Project Gets Started:

-Almost every need referral we get comes from someone we love and trust. We assess the situation to see what we have that can best meet their needs.

Acquiring Vehicles:

-We purchase them by dealerships, word of mouth, the internet or donations. We take into careful consideration each vehicle we purchase and acquire, where there is a vetting process done on each one

The Work Begins:

We go from bumper to bumper repairing and replacing what the vehicle needs and then some. Every vehicle leaves us mechanically sound and safe for the road for years to come. That means we spend at least 75-100 man hours on each project.

Payment:

Every situation is different. Sometimes someone can pay for the vehicle and sometimes they cannot, in which case we ask their community that surrounds them if they can step into the situation and help raise the money. We then sell the vehicle for an affordable and fair price.

It can seem that it is about cars, or car repairs. It is much more than that. It is how we view obedience; using our time, talents, and resources for God’s kingdom.

Thank you Patterson family for the donation of your Honda Odyssey, for seeing the need and responding. We have families in need waiting for a mechanically sound, safe and reliable vehicle and this will help.

Metro Auto Ministry strives to put people who are struggling to make ends meet back on the road so they can work and provide for their families. This nonprofit shares our passion and mission and we are grateful to partner with them on this vehicle as we finish it up to help another ministry and family.

We first meet baby Hope when our friends were fostering her.

Since then, her grandma has taken 3 of her grandkids in to love and care for them and was in need of a bigger vehicle. Thank you to this family for trusting in us and for the family who shared this need and boldly stepped in to help.

She called because her brakes were grinding, but we discovered she was in desperate need of tires as well. She was driving on threads. This mom of 4 works nights and is dependent on her vehicle to get her to and from work to provide for her family. We were able to get her set up and even replaced her rear hatch supports so it no longer falls on her.

Thank you McNamee family for being an encouragement, showing God’s love abroad for 20 years and coming back to support The Salvage Yard in getting another vehicle for your family.
