The Salvage Yard

When this college student and his wife no longer had a vehicle due to a car accident, a friend reached out to see if we could assist. This Camry has helped a couple of others in the past and with it being back in our lot, it was a quick turn around, in their budget and a great fit for them.

In 2021, after taking in and adopting her 3 grandkids, this grandma reached out to us for a bigger vehicle. She named her Sienna “Jehovah Jireh”- the Lord will provide. For 4 years and over 50,000 miles, she was able to go problem free! When her a/c compressor recently failed, she contacted us again. 

Unexpectedly, another family is graciously giving towards this need as well as the other major repairs that were also essential in performing.
The Lord will provide.

How grateful we are for this family’s generosity, the hard work this grandma puts in each day and the kindness our Father shows us.

This Sienna is back up to running to our high standards.

When their main family vehicle became undrivable with a list of repairs that kept growing without the amount of funds it was going to take to fix it, they reached out. At first The Salvage Yard can sound too good to be true, and some think it may be a scam {we’re going to come pick up your vehicle, fix all major concerns, deliver back to you and charge you a very fair price, within your budget!} BUT I promise, we are legit and it’s only because of the generosity that our savior perfected that we are able to offer this. It is not about us or what we can do, but stepping in a boldness using our gifts and passions for His good.

The trust this family gave us is very much appreciated, as they didn’t know us at all and the cooperation to reduce a burden.

We knew there was a lot of life left in this Honda after the previous owner (our beloved babysitter)was hit from behind. After we acquired it, we were able to have the body repaired at one of our favorite body shops:Classic Chevrolet, and then we addressed all other concerns. Now, She will no longer have to borrow mom or dad’s vehicle and will be ready for her next life decision into adulthood, whether that be a new job, more schooling and growing more independently. We appreciate this family’s graciousness and willingness to step into this process with us and to our babysitter who let us help take action and navigate what to do after her wreck.

We know navigating the used car market is tough. We are grateful this family trusted us through the process and were patient as we made the correct repairs and prepared this vehicle for them.

After losing her husband last year and experiencing car issues, she was in need of a dependable vehicle. Her daughter reached out to us and they were able to purchase a new to them Highlander; complete with an engine swap, new water pump, spark plugs, reseal, valve cover gaskets, drive belt, tires, brakes, filters, struts, rear hatch assembly and of course a detail. The reliability of a Toyota is unmatched and with the work put into this ride, it will last for years to come. Thank you for your trust and support throughout this process Reiners family!

“This may look like a silver van to you, but it is really an Ebenezer- a stone of remembrance of God’s help. When it became clear that our van was not worth fixing, I’ll be honest, my first prayers were complaints. I just couldn’t see how God would provide. I could see how far short the amount I had saved was compared to the used car market – I couldn’t see how God could use our little. God was faithful even in the face of doubt. Through The Salvage Yard, God provided a reliable van for $1,000 less that we had saved up. Won’t He do it! The dryer is on the struggle bus again, but even though that makes my anxiety rise, walking out to the van (or the silver bullet as the boys named it) reminds me that God has provided in the past and will continue to provide.” -P

Ms. Terry walks life with many, stepping into hard situations and loving on families. She saw the need and the burden it was for this mom of 4 to be without a vehicle trying to provide for her family. We are so grateful for the wisdom and faithfulness of Ms. Terry and her obedience to our Father to be a support to the mom’s around her. After many hours of repairs on this Honda, it will serve another mom and has many miles left to give.
