The Salvage Yard

For the past 3 years she has had to rely on others for use of a vehicle. She now gets to help with her grandkids and has a means to get to work. She is loved by her co-workers, students and family and we are happy to help to this way.

We are so grateful for the support of this fellow missions family as they transitioned into a van that meets their needs. They trusted us with the process and had a lot of patience while we put in the extra work to meet the necessities for this family.

“I just wanted to thank y’all so much. You have blessed my life. I don’t have the proper words. Y’all have literally saved my life. I can never thank you enough.”

We don’t know an inch of her depth and what she has been through, and we won’t ever experience it. Without God’s love for us we aren’t able to display it towards others. The action, the good, this life…it is all His.

We are grateful for the many hands that helped in this project and the for the mom who trusted us along the way. This is the second donated vehicle from a family and along with Classic Chevrolet who took over a lot of the repairs on this Chevy all helped a mom in a time of nee.

Although we specialize in repairing and supporting families with vehicles, a lot of times it’s not just about the car.  There are lives behind the need for transportation.  Stepping into difficult circumstances is something as Christ followers we are called to do and in such a way to display His Kingdom.  We are grateful for those who stand beside The Salvage Yard, to help a mother who left a difficult situation to love and care for her children best.  

It takes generosity to give up something that is of value to not gain, and strength and trust for this mother to reach out knowing she was not in the position to afford this van. She needed a reliable vehicle for her 3 young children; working full time and supporting her family did not leave much left.   We are thankful for a family to see a need in front of them, being obedient to show Christ’s love through transportation.  After many hours of labor/repairs and reviving the van, it will serve her and her children well for time to come. 

“The van is so nice.  I feel so fancy and cool.  Never thought I would say I felt cool in a van, but here we are.  I’m genuinely so very grateful for all the love, sweat and tears put into the van to make it perfect for our family.  We will love it and take good care of it.  I’m over the moon happy!  Thank you again for everything.”

With no public transportation available in their area, this mother and her daughter were in need of a vehicle to move towards independence. For the past two years, their community has stepped into their lives and we are grateful for the opportunity to get them into something safe and reliable.

This missional loving family was in need of a vehicle to fit their family of 6. We are grateful they put their confidence in trusting us with the details as the repairs were made on this vehicle to get it ready for them. Pictured is a family friend who came and picked it up for them and drove it all the way to their destination in California.

The timing belt snapped which included an engine dismantle and reassemble, along with a lengthly list of repairs, this Highlander took time, but was done right. We are thankful for the patience of this individual and trusting us with this rebuild.
